Heuchera 'Primo Wild Rose'
A Proven Winner!
Heuchera Primo 'Wild Rose'. This easily distinguishable Heuchera stands out with its large leaves and bright, uniquely colored foliage. 'Wild Rose' forms a dense habit of large, bright rosy purple leaves with deep charcoal gray veining. The prominent dark veining really causes the foliage color pop, making it a great choice for shade. Like most coral bells this one goes through seasonal color changes. This is the perfect companion plant to the dark-leafed 'Black Pearl'. Upright, dark burgundy rose flower scapes have matching dark buds that open to rosy pink flowers. The New PRIMO™ Collection differs from the DOLCE® Heuchera collection in that they are large and faster growing in the landscape. PP#29923.
This plant is a Heuchera villosa hybrid. The villosa species is a robust grower with an increased tolerance of high heat and humidity over other species. Most villosas produce flowers in midsummer, though they are usually grown more for their fantastic foliage. H. villosa is native to the southeastern United States. If you live in the south this plant is a great choice for your garden!
MATURE HEIGHT: Foliage 8-10". In bloom 18-22".
MATURE SPREAD: 18-20".
HARDINESS ZONES: 4,5,6,7,8,9.
FLOWER: Pink, mid season.
SUN EXPOSURE: Mostly sunny to full shade.
SIZE SHIPPED: 2.5" pot. (plants shipped to California may be bare root and trimmed)
Coral Bells are wonderful hardy perennials (they come back each year). As with most perennials they grow best in well draining soil. Our Coral Bells are some of the best available on the market today. We search wide and far for the best performing, most colorful varieties that are reproduced vegetatively. Our plants are vigorous hybrids not inferior seedlings. Most varieties go through seasonal color changes. All of our plants are of blooming age/size.
Our plants have been over-wintered here in the upper Midwest to ensure strength and hardiness and to encourage blooming the first year in your garden. Our plants are grown outdoors where Mother Nature helps us produce the best plants possible. Our potted plants can be planted at your convenience, just keep them outdoors and watered until you are ready to put them into the ground. We include complete planting instructions with all orders. This plant is ready for your garden!
