GIANT NOBEL SPINACH. American heirloom vegetable. Spinach was introduced to the USA by Thomas Jefferson. This variety won the AAS Award back in 1933. Known for it's ability to withstand temp changes without going to bolt. Spinach is a cool weather vegetable. You can get several plantings in most areas of the country. Plant in early spring as soon as the ground can be worked. Giant Nobel grows fast, so you can get a few plantings in before the heat of mid-summer. Plant in early fall and again in late fall for a winter harvest. Overwinters very well in most area's. Will tolerate sub-zero temps if protected. Doesn't need full sun, can be planted in shade. Does not transplant very well, direct sow is the way to go. Seeds go dormant above 80F and won't sprout. Perfect raw in salads, or as a cooked green, also freezes very well. 200+ Quality seeds per order. Thank You!
