This tree is grown in our private nursery in Middle Tennessee.
It ships from my nursery to yours. No Middle Man!
The Fuyu Tree is the most widely grown persimmon tree in the world.
Green Leaves will appear in Spring, It grows approximately 12" a year and can grow up to 12 to 15 feet or taller.
Needs watered with good drainage. Foliage is Deciduous (leaves fall annually and will grow back in the Spring). Zone7-9, Lots of Light Full Sun. Cold Hardy. Wildlife Love Them. Can make good shade trees. Self Pollinating.
Will adapt to any pH level soil but prefers slightly alkaline soil of around 6 pH. If your soil is acidic you can increase pH by adding lime to your soil. Will bear fruit in fall around November and December. It takes around 4 to 5 years to produce fruit, Sometimes Longer.
The fruit is Non-Astringent (Sweet) Orange in color and can be eaten Green. Seedless, Sweet & Crisp like an apple.Great for Dried Fruit or Cooking.
