Loquat is a broad spreading evergreen tree producing large tasty fruits native to extreme eastern Asia. Its broad leaves are large, glossy dark green above and paler green or gray beneath with distinct veins. New growth is woolly,bears fragrant whitish flowers in autumn and flavorful, exceptionally large, rounded yellow-skinned fruit with firm, juicy, creamy flesh in spring.
