The Moonglow Pear Tree (Pyrus communis ‘Moonglow’) cmmonly called European pear or common pear. Moonglow can bear fruits for many years and has a vigorous growth habit. Boasts aromatic creamy white flowers that appear in early spring (April-May), giving way to medium to large sized, Bartlett-shaped yellow to red fruit. The white flesh is soft and moderate juicy with almost no grit. Ripens in early to mid August, a week before Bartlett. Bares glossy dark green leaves, that turns shades of red and yellow in fall. Resistant to Fire Blight. This tree grows at a medium rate, with height increases of 13–24" per year. Space 18-20' apart when planting.
